This hotel is ideally located right next to the racecourse and close to town-perfect for exploring! I found my room to be spacious and clean, which made my stay quite comfy. The receptionist was super friendly and charming, making check-in a breeze. Plus, parking was super handy, so no need to worry about those pesky parking woes!
The hotel does show its age; some areas could really use a refresh. I noticed a bit of mould in the bathroom and the shower pressure wasn't the best. the key situation was a little confusing since it didn’t match up with the sliding door. it has its quirks but still offers a decent stay!

The location of the property was convenient and handy, on to a well maintained garden. Moreover, it was just next door to the town shops, the center of things and the wonderful.
Nothing to dislike.

The room was spacious with a comfy bed, but the shower pressure was a bit lacking. A pleasant experience, just needs a touch-up here and there. Perfect for a family getaway!

Location near to the wonderful and large garden area and the gardens and the town shops. Had good sized room and a comfortable stay during our visit. The staff were amazingly nice and helped with free parking...

Liked the big cosy fireplace and TV. Also the new dining arrangements
I was really dissapponted that the pool is no longer indoors. I always pack my togs coming to the Hotel Ashburton, but they never got used this time. Why would you ?

The view from the bar out to the hotel is fine.
The shower pressure was dismal. The heat pump was difficult to operate. I expected better from a room advertised as beautiful, but it was underwhelming and not worth the price.

The staff were friendly and cute, making the check-in experience pleasant.
The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from more variety and healthier options.

The room was clean and had been upgraded. It was easy to stay at the same place as the business function we attended. It was a nice suprise to see the rooms had been redone and were more modern.
The House keeping staff were talking and laughing very loudly outside our room while we were trying to sleep. Ok it was 9am but being farmers we were trying to enjoy not having to get up early and we did put the do not disturb sign out. It was very disappointing.

This place is super convenient if you need to be close to family! The location is ideal, with plenty of dining options nearby. The rooms are acceptable and pretty clean, and the beds are comfy enough for a good night's sleep. I also appreciated the quiet area-perfect for relaxation after a long day.
The room was freezing, and the bedding barely covered the mattress. I had to ask for an extra duvet just to feel warm! Plus, the service at the restaurant is painfully slow, and the food was lukewarm at best. It definitely felt like I was getting less than I paid for!

The staff were very friendly especially at reception. I accidently left something behind in my room and when I phoned up and inquired about it; they looked into it for me and called me back afterwards saying they found it : ) and that they would have it at reception for me to pick up as I was still in Ashburton. If I wasn't they would've tried to arrange to get it to me. Also my teenage daughter wasn't well, so they asked if they could help in anyway. The room was very comfortable, and I would stay there again if I needed to.
Only thing was there was people running up and down the hallways during the night, which was quite noisy.
